Lineage of Albion
[3/14/2013 9:38:53 PM] Bobby: At the turn of Autumn, Duke Robert departs for the woodland area to the north for a Great Hunt.
The young soldier Doran O’Connel, second son of the Earle of Carlow is left behind with a skeleton crew of the duke’s guard in defense of the court. His second is a gregarious boy no older than 16 by the name of Hugh O’Keeffe.
Hugh is the first born son of the Baron of Castle O’Keeffe, a castle left for ruins until his father Emmet took it as claim post-Neustrian rule.
Aideen Ui Faelain, is a visiting maiden of Castle Dublhinn. She is the only daughter of Lorcan Ui Faelain, Earle of Kildare. Though her hand is promised to a famed knight and sworn vassal of Lorcan, her father thought it best to keep her away from her betrothed. He can be rather overprotective of her since she is his only daughter, and given his series of misfortunes with keeping wives alive…
Finally, there is Niamh Ui Chennselaig, a very beautiful, very clever girl of sixteen who’s hand is promised to the second born Prince of Albion. Niamh is anything but a naive negotiator, preferring to follow her own heart over her father’s rules time and time again.
[3/14/2013 9:41:00 PM] Bobby: This scene begins with Doran and Hugh spending time with Aideen and Niamh who have just finished breakfast.
[3/14/2013 9:43:09 PM] Bobby: The setting is the gardens just outside of the castle proper, not far from the inner walls of the castle. Though the sky is still gray from the morning drizzle, the air smells so sweet within the confines of the beautifully arranged greenery that surrounds you.
[3/14/2013 9:44:36 PM] Bobby: Niamh has a neutral expression at this point. That’s not altogether uncommon for her. it just means she hasn’t had anything upset her. She usually wears that on her sleeve. Nor is she up to any mischief. That is usually paired with a sly smirk.
[3/14/2013 9:46:34 PM] Bobby: Hugh is well groomed, save for a beard that isn’t quite growing in even. He’s just too young for it. Even so, his blue/green eyes are such a color that they are hard not to stare at. He’ll be a handsome Baron if nothing else.
[3/14/2013 9:48:44 PM] Aideen: Aideen followed Niamh along the garden path, twirling a plucked flower between her fingers. She was dressed in one of her finer gowns, as suitable for the Duke’s court. She seemed a bit bored, sighing heavily on occasion – as if waiting for someone to inquire if she were alright.
[3/14/2013 9:53:35 PM] Doran: Doran was nice looking young man, his brown hair wavy commonly drifting in the breeze, he had dark blue eyes that suited him well, he was in his usual attire, his blade resting sheathed on his hip as always, he was responsible for keeping the place save and his honor demanded he do just that, and the time around Niamh was something of a reward of its own. He looked at the two young ladies a moment and spoke in a calm relaxed tone “Something the Matter Lady Aideen?”
[3/14/2013 9:54:32 PM] Bobby: Hugh looked on to see Aideen at that mention. His eyes shot to Aideen for a long moment and then to Doran and Niamh.
[3/14/2013 9:59:22 PM] Aideen: The flower’s step was pushed between locks of strawberry blond hair, a stark contrast to the rest of the Ui Faelain clan. They had mops of shaggy dark hair. Everyone said she took after her mother. “Ohhhh. I suppose its nothing.” She turned a kind smile to Doran and then a polite one to Hugh. “Autumn is my least favorite time of the year.”
[3/14/2013 10:01:00 PM] Bobby: Hugh inquired with a tone of suprise “Is it? I’d say mine is the dead of winter.”
[3/14/2013 10:01:39 PM] Bobby: Niamh dipped a foot in the pond at the center of the garden and she began to splash it around a bit. It was not distracting from the conversation as much as something all three of you would be used to by now.
[3/14/2013 10:03:43 PM] Aideen: “The dead of winter would be my second least favorite time of the year. But with autumn the feeling of winter is always so near… like a hovering gloom that you expect to arrive at any moment.” Her shoulder shrugged as she drifted to stand near Niamh and the pond.
[3/14/2013 10:04:42 PM] Doran: Doran looked over at Lady Niamh a moment smiling slightly he glanced over at Lady Aideen again briefly to pose a question “Surely Autumn isn’t that bad is it? The sky is a bit dreary but it seems to be a lovely day.” he looked back over at Lady Niamh a moment “What about you Lady Niamh which season do you dislike the most?”
[3/14/2013 10:08:04 PM] Bobby: Niamh turns and faces you all at that point and marches over to Aideen with her wet foot “Precisely. This is why we must go.” She followed the comment with a sly smirk. This was a red flag tell for those that know Niamh. She’s up to something.
[3/14/2013 10:08:10 PM] Bobby: Hugh: “Go?”
[3/14/2013 10:09:30 PM] Doran: Doran looked over at Lady Niamh he recognized that look he had seen it before he spoke in his usual calm tone “Where is it you wish to be going Lady Niamh?”
[3/14/2013 10:10:05 PM] Bobby: (Aideen should know that Niamh has a relationship tie to her. "The only girl I might call friend’. This of course can be quite one-sided, as Niamh wouldn’t require a mutual response to have it. It’s at 2.
[3/14/2013 10:11:02 PM] Aideen: Both of Aideen’s pale brows lifted curiously and then lowere almost immediately as her lips parted with an, “Oh.” It seemed as if Aideen had some understanding of what Niamh was suggesting. “Surely, your father would never allow for it.” Though, Aideen didn’t seem all that disagreeable to what she percieved as the suggestion.
[3/14/2013 10:13:12 PM] Bobby: (Doran would know that her father forbade her to leave the castle under any circumstances save for direct request of her mother).
[3/14/2013 10:14:07 PM] Doran: “Lady Niamh you are well aware that you are not to be permitted to leave the castle unless your mother requests your presence…”
[3/14/2013 10:15:44 PM] Bobby: Niamh eyes Aideen and Doran in their reactions. She offered a hand to Aideen “Doran, I’ll have you know I am a lady of sixteen. There is no need for orders but there is a need for an escort. Surely you would not deny my request?”
[3/14/2013 10:17:31 PM] Bobby: (It’s worth mentioning at this point that Niamh’s Aspects are Convincing and Impulsive)
[3/14/2013 10:17:49 PM] Aideen: Niamh’s hand was accepted with a slight giggle as Aideen steeped toward her conspiratorially. “We would never make it out of the castle,” She proclaimed before whispering to her friend,“… but I dare you to try.”
[3/14/2013 10:21:58 PM] Doran: Doran bows his head slightly as he responds “It would be my honor to escort you where you desire to go milady…” he paused a moment he was honorbound to follow the orders of his Duke, but who is he to deny Lady Niamh request for an escort he certainly wasn’t going to use force to keep her locked behind the castle walls. He spoke again his head still bowed “I suppose it would be best if I did accompany you then…its safer that way than if you snuck off with no escorts.” he looked up at Lady Niamh a moment “Where is it you are wishing to go milady?”
[3/14/2013 10:24:43 PM] Bobby: Niamh’s eyes darted to Doran and then to Hugh who just climbed to his feet. She smirked and looked to Aideen “Good. Then come! It is time to storm the gate!” and with that she took off in a sprint, pulling at Aideen’s hand with all her might as she started off!
[3/14/2013 10:25:53 PM] Doran: Doran looked over at Hugh a moment and then moved off along with the two young ladies toward the gate he was already trying to think of a way to get them out of the castle.
[3/14/2013 10:27:44 PM] Aideen: Doran’s answer caused Aideen’s eyes to widen with surprise. But before she could answer, she was pulled along with Niamh. Her feet scurried along the walkway to keep up with the other girl and she let out a laugh. “Are we going to the hunt?” She asked of her friend as they ran along.
[3/14/2013 10:30:05 PM] Bobby: Niamh smirked “You’ll see!” she said loudly as she continued to pant and run with all her might. Hugh patted Doran on the shoulder as he moved to follow suit “I think I know what she’s up to.” he started after them "Hey! Come back!’ he shouted as Niamh and Aideen made their way toward the gate.

[3/14/2013 10:30:49 PM] Doran: ((hehe K))
[3/14/2013 10:30:59 PM] Aideen: (Yay. Thanks. I enjoyed it!)
